A huge detached villa in 2,000m2 of beautiful gardens, Villa Piera would make a luxurious family home or the perfect summer escape. It's perfectly presented, with no investment needed. BEAUTIFUL BIG SWIMMING POOL The pool is obviously one of Villa Piera's main attractions. Measuring a generous 6m by 14m, it is long enough to get some proper exercise in, not merely to bob about and cool off under the hot Sicilian sun. It was redone 18 months ago, meaning that all of the pump and filter systems are in great working order. At one end is a little hydromassage corner for the days when you want to take things a little easier. It is surrounded by a brick deck, and perfectly framed between the verdant green garden, where Mediterranean palms and cacti balance a well-manicured lawn and the hedges and shrubs which guarantee your privacy. SLEEPS EIGHT IN COMFORT The main house is comprised of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a huge open-plan living area. In total it offers almost 160m2 of living space. The annexe is a studio space which is flexible enough to use for hosting large dinners in winter or, with the addition of a bed, guests in summer. It has an additional bedroom and also a kitchen, meaning that your visitors can be as autonomous as you like – and also helping with the option of holding big dinner parties out here. Maybe a family Christmas feast? JUST TEN MINUTES FROM MARSALA Marsala is, of course, legendary as a centre for wine production, and you'll find some superb vineyards and cantinas within an easy driving distance. Whether you want to discover the history and technique behind famous industry names like Florio and Donnafugata or just enjoy a few samples of their work, it's sure to be a hit with any visitors you have. The nearest sandy beach is just five minutes away, and the south-western coast of Sicily is home to some really beautiful stretches of coastline which are less inundated by visitors than some of the north and east.
